The adjustment wheels turn threaded bar to move the elevation and windage of the main mortar tube just as in the real steel Mortar.
A great project with easy to follow template plans to make a 60mm Mortar Inert Replica.
Plans to build a 1:1 scale replica of the 60 mm Mortar
The plans set includes 10 pages of full sized plans in pdf format on A1 (1 sheet), A2 (5 sheets), A3 (4 sheets).
All parts drawings are full sized sized templates. As the plans are full size, measurements can be taken direct from the drawings - no scaling required - with the measure tool which has been included in the Adobe software.
All Parts Drawings are also included in AutoCAD DXF format.
The Plan Set includes full sized templates in Vector Graphics format (compatible with popular CNC and CAM Software) to avoid marking out errors and make for a simple straight forward build.
Basic metal working and home workshop equipment is required to complete this project and there is some welding to be done on the Barrel and Bipod Legs if you chose to make the replica from Steel..
The use of a mini-lathe and drill press is recommended but not necassary and the parts can be cut from stock sheet with a jigsaw or band saw using the full sized template patterns provided with the Plan Set.
There is a 67 page Build Photograph Album of pictures taken during the construction also included in the plan set.
A separate file containing 10 no. AutoCAD Parts files in DXF format is included in the plan set for reference and ease of machining parts and for those builders who wish to use a CNC machine to cut the parts for the Inert Replica Mortar.
